6 Air Bags
The Nissan Advanced Air Bag System features 6 standard airbags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor. The inflation rate of the dual-stage airbags adjusts depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. Two supplemental air bags are built into the front seats to offer side impact protection and move with you as you adjust your seating position. Also, roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental airbags with rollover sensors help provide head protection for both rows of outboard occupants.*
*Air bags are only a supplemental restraint system; always wear your seat belt. Even with the occupant-classification sensor, rear-facing child restraints should not be placed in the front-passenger’s seat. All children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts according to their size. Air bags will only inflate in certain accidents; see your owner’s manual for more details.
